An instrumental song a day for seven days to Chill out, zone out, and rock out too as you immerse yourself in my musical interpretation of the days of the week.
I wrote, recorded, and produced each song on its namesake day of the week. I wanted to be as fair to each day as possible and to do that i isolated work on each track to the day of the week it corresponded to. It was a tricky process because it made my time on each track limited, but also very valuable. I started and finished work on this album right in the middle of making my previously released singer songwriter CD called My Quilted Heart. I think you will find that they don't have much in common lol but it was the break and change of direction i needed for both of my albums and life! This album has funk elements and some jazz elements with many of the songs featuring piano, synth, clavichord, and a slightly distorted electric piano. While the songs in the beginning of the week are slower and seemingly traveling uphill much like early days in the week, the days that follow start moving and the songs pick up steam which equates to more upbeat, bouncy, and playful themes later in the album. My album, Last Week, represents my typical week very accurately and you may notice my current love of Wednesday. I hope you give this album a listen and enjoy my week in music!
